Getting to UCSB & the Bren School
The Transliteracies RoSE Design Charrette will take place on February 26, 2010, from 8:30 a.m.- 5:45 p.m. in Bren Hall 1424 (with breakout sessions also in 1520 and 3526). Bren Hall (Bren School of Environmental Science & Management) is located near the east entrance of the UCSB campus on Lagoon Road, facing the ocean. (Campus map, location 5:E)
From the 101 traveling North:
Exit the 101 North by merging onto the CA-217 South toward the Airport/UCSB, approximately 8 miles north of Santa Barbara. Stay in the left lane. When you reach the roundabout at the east entrance to the campus, go right onto Mesa Road. Immediately get into the left lane and turn left at the first stop light into Lot 10. Follow the signs to Bren Hall 1424.
From the 101 traveling South:
Take the Storke Rd./Glen Annie Rd. exit off US 101 approximately 12 miles north of Santa Barbara. Turn right on Storke Rd. and proceed 1 mile to El Colegio Rd. Turn left on El Colegio Rd. and proceed to the campus west entrance.
Please note: The closest parking is Lot 10 (Campus map, location 5-6:D). We have arranged for parking on the top floor of this parking structure. To access this parking, you will need to drive to the top floor of the structure and enter a code, with which we will provide you before the event.

Northbound Hwy. 101 (From Los Angeles):
Take the Cabrillo Blvd. Exit (left off the highway) and turn left at the stop sign. Go 3-4 miles along the beach past the wharf and turn right on Bath St. The address is 21 Bath St., the second motel on the left
Southbound Hwy. 101 (From San Francisco):
Take the Castillo St Exit right off highway 101 and turn right at the end of the offramp. Go through two traffic lights to Cabrillo Blvd. Turn left. Continue 1 block and turn left at Bath St. The address is 21 Bath St., the second motel on the left
